Rihanna and Chris Brown did not have dinner in Monaco, his rep says
Rihanna and Chris Brown are at the center or romance reports once again, however, a spokesperson for Chris Brown denies that the two recently had dinner together.
According to the New York Post the former couple had dinner together on Wednesday, July 25, in Monaco.
"It's not true. People like to make up stories for the tabloids in regards to Chris (and Rihanna)," Brown's spokesperson said in regards to the report.
Brown's spokesperson did confirm he has been in Nice, France, since July 22 to shoot a video with Swizz Beatz and Ludacris. The rep also said Brown is there with his girlfriend Karrueche Tran. A spokesperson for Rihanna had no immediate comment.
The rumors of the former couple romancing each other again were sparked after Rihanna quoted a Tweet from former NBA star Magic Johnson which said, "@MagicJohnson: We had a great time hanging with @Rihanna & her friends on her yacht."
Rihanna then Tweeted on July 23, "Hello Cannes."
Cannes is located in the French Riviera, about 20 miles from Nice.
Brown assaulted Rihanna, who was his girlfriend at the time, after a pre-Grammy Awards party in 2009. He pleaded guilty to a felony charge was sentenced to five years of probation and six months of community service and was ordered by the courts to receive domestic violence courses for a year.
Rihanna told Elle Magazine that the break up and event, "gave me guns. I was like, well, [expletive]. They know more about me than I want them to know. It's embarrassing... But that was my opening. That was my liberation - my moment of bring it. Now you know that, so you can say what you want about it. I don't have anything to hide."
In February, the singers released singles that featured guest vocals from one another. Rihanna recorded a remix of her song "Birthday Cake" and Brown released a remix of his song "Turn Up the Music."
