Chaz Bono is not the only "Dancing With The Stars" contestant to shed some pounds since the contestants' training began. Rick Lake says she has lost a few inches on her waist, hips and legs.

"I've lost 8 and an a half inches in two weeks, " Lake told OnTheRedCarpet.com during a recent rehearsal for the show on Friday, September 16. "I mean seriously, three inches in my waist, three inches in my hips ... you know I do have some weight to lose but I'm not that big."

"I feel great and you know, I'm committing to this thing," she added.

Lake's partner for the season is three-time "Dancing With The Stars" champion Derek Hough, who returns to the show after taking off for a season to work on a movie.

As for her debut outfit, Lake says, "My dress is beautiful, I tried it on at the first fitting. I really love it. It's a beautiful color, he [Hough] picked it. I mean he really designed it. I just do what he says."

Lake told People she gained around 15 pounds since she began her relationship with fiancé Christian Evans. She said she usually stays between a size 8 and a size 6.

"I have two sizes of Lucky Brand jeans: 8 and 6. Usually I wear the 8 because they are more comfortable but now even the 6 is too big. They used to be tight," she told the magazine.

The actress and talk show host has not had an easy run with her training. She Tweeted about a minor injury she got while practicing her routine with Hough on September 8.

"Look, my first injury," Lake wrote. "Don't ask how it happened."

The "Dancing With The Stars" staff seemed to take the injury seriously, even if Lake did not. Two hours after her first Tweet Lake Tweeted, "Not sure how my bruise turned into a medic showing up? I'm fine!! :)" She posted a photo of herself with Hough, fellow contestant J.R. Martinez and his dance partner Karina Smirnoff.

The 13th season of "Dancing With The Stars" kicks off on September 19. Previously, Lake told OnTheRedCarpet.com that she agreed to compete on "Dancing With The Stars" after watching actress Kirstie Alley overcome hurdles on the previous season.

Lake had attended a taping of an episode of the previous season, which saw Alley fall during a performance and even lose a shoe during a different dance routine. The 60-year-old actress placed second, while Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Hines Ward and partner Kym Johnson walked away with the big prize.

"I was like, I gotta do this," Lake told OnTheRedCarpet.com. "The stories, it's so compelling. Kirstie Alley ... that was what pushed me over the edge. Seeing what happened to her physically, seeing what happened internally. You could see on her face, every week, that confidence. You want that feeling."

Both Alley and Lake have battled weight problems throughout their lives. Alley dropped several pounds while competing on "Dancing With The Stars."

On September 8, Lake Tweeted to Alley saying, "I've got my work cut out for me. Channeling ya' mama. Xo." She also posted a photo of herself standing next to a poster of Alley during her stint on "Dancing With The Stars."

Among the other celebrities set to appear on the series this season - Chaz Bono, who underwent a sex change in 2009 and was born Chastity Bono, the daughter of Cher and Sonny Bono, reality star Kristin Cavallari, Los Angeles Laker Ron Artest, actor David Arquette and Chynna Phillips of the group Wilson Phillips.
