Reese Witherspoon to star in upcoming Disney comedy 'Wish List'

Reese Witherspoon has signed on to star in the upcoming Disney comedy "Wish List," the actress' agent confirmed to OnTheRedCarpet.com.

According to Deadline, "Wish List" tells the story a young girl who makes ten wishes at a wishing well, but none of them come true because her coin never reached the bottom. Eventually, the girl loses her inner child and becomes an ambitious career woman. About 25-years later, the coin gets dislodged and her childhood dreams start coming true one after another.

The script is being written by Randi Mayem Singer, who wrote the 1993 classic "Mrs. Doubtfire." Mark Ciardi and Gordon Gray signed on to produce the flick.

The movie was originally being developed for a male lead, but is now being reworked for Witherspoon.

In March, the actress, 35, married entertainment agent Jim Toth, 40, in a private ceremony at her ranch estate in Ojai, California.

The couple became engaged in December after dating for about a year. This marks the second marriage for the actress, who was married to Phillippe, 36, between 1999 and 2008. She has two children from her first marriage, daughter Ava, 11 and son Deacon, 7.

Witherspoon and Toth were first linked together in January, not long after she and actor Jake Gyllenhaal confirmed they had broken up after dating for about three years. Witherspoon and Toth fended off engagement rumors in October.

Witherspoon is known for movies such as "Legally Blonde" and won an Oscar for the 2005 film "Walk the Line." She recently appeared in "Water for Elephants" with "Twilight" actor Robert Pattinson and filmed "This Means War" with Chris Pine and E! talk show host Chelsea Handler.
