Reese Witherspoon received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame at a Wednesday ceremony attended by her children and Bruiser, the Chihuahua dog who appeared with her in the 2001 movie "Legally Blonde".

Witherspoon, 34, is the mother of daughter Eva, 11, and son Deacon, 7, and their father is her ex-husband, actor Ryan Phillippe. The actress told OnTheRedCarpet.com that she is happy her children got to be with her at the unveiling of her star, which is located near the W Hotel in Hollywood.

"My kids have been so excited," Witherspoon said. "They barely slept last night. I barely slept."

The actress recently dished on her current boyfriend, talent agent Jim Toth, in an interview with Glamour magazine and said she feels sexier at her age than she ever did in her 20s, when she was married to actor Phillippe, her co-star in "Cruel Intentions", which helped launch her career.

Witherspoon has also starred in films such as the new James L. Brooks comedy "How Do You Know", which is set for release on December 17 and also features Owen Wilson, as well as "Fear", "Freeway", "Election", "Pleasantville", "Legally Blonde" and its sequel, "Sweet Home Alabama" and "Walk the Line", which earned her an Oscar in 2006.

Witherspoon can also be seen in the drama movie "Water for Elephants", which stars "Twilight" actor Robert Pattinson and is set for release on April 15, 2011.

"My mother was reminding me this morning that this is my 20th year of making movies," Witherspoon told a crowd at the unveiling ceremony on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. "I started when I was 14 years old growing up in Nashville, Tennessee so it feels like this incredible honor to have made it all the way from Nashville to Hollywood Boulevard."

This is the 2,425th time such an honor has been bestowed upon an entertainer or group. Other entertainers who received a star on Hollywood's Walk of Fame recently include Julia Louis-Dreyfus of "Seinfeld" fame, singer Alan Jackson and film actor Mark Wahlberg.
