Razzie Awards 2011: Full list of winners
The 31st annual Razzie Awards ceremony was held at Barnsdall Gallery Theatre at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 26, 2011.
The Razzie Awards are the only award show to honor the year's worst movies, in a satirical ceremony which is held each year, the night before the Oscars.
This year's big "winner" was M. Night Shyamalan's 3D Action fantasy, "The Last Airbender," which took home five Razzie Awards for 'Worst Picture,' 'Worst Supporting Actor' for Jackson Rathbone, 'Worst Director,' 'Worst Eye-Gouging Mis-Use of 3-D,' and 'Worst Screenplay.' The critically panned chick flick sequel, "Sex and the City 2" also received a number of Razzie Awards for 'Worst Actress' for all four women in the ensemble cast (Sarah Jessica Parker, Cynthia Nixon, Kristin Davis, and Kim Cattrall), 'Worst Screen Ensemble' and 'Worst Prequel, Remake, Rip-Off or Sequel.'
Ashton Kutcher earned a 'Worst Actor' Razzie for his roles in "Killers" and "Valentine's Day." While Jessica Alba won a 'Worst Supporting Actress' Razzie for her work in "The Killer Inside Me," "Little Fockers," "Machete" and "Valentine's Day."
The Razzies website says that the awards were created in 1980 "as a logical antidote to Tinsel Town's annual glut of self-congratulatory awards." The "winners" are determined by 637 voting members of The Golden Raspberry Award Foundation.
In past years, several celebrities have accepted their Razzie Awards in person, including Sandra Bullock, who won last year for 'Worst Actress' and 'Worst Screen Couple' for her movie, "All About Steve." Bullock took home a 'Best Actress' Oscar the following night for her work in "The Blind Side." Other celebrities who have accepted their Razzie Awards are Halle Berry ("Catwoman"), Bill Cosby ("Leonard Part 6") and Ben Affleck ("Daredevil," "Gigli," and "Paycheck").
