Actress Raven-Symone, who starred in the Disney Channel series "That's So Raven," walked the red carpet at the ABC Family upfront on Thursday in a chic black dress, showing off her slimmer figure.

The former child star first made headlines at the 2011 People's Choice Awards when she showed off her new image but said she didn't like the way people stare at her now.

The 25-year-old actress and singer, who also played little Olivia on "The Cosby Show" in the 1980s, has not disclosed how many pounds she lost or how she dropped the weight.

"I thought I looked fabulous before and nobody else did," she told People magazine at the event. "Now I wear bigger clothes because I don't like the way people stare at me. I liked it before. Now, you're just looking at me for the wrong reasons. Before, you were actually looking at me for a real reason."

The actress attended the upfront event because the network picked up a half-hour comedy centered on the actress called "The Great State of Georgia." According to TV Guide, the show is about an aspiring actress in New York named Georgia trying to make a name for herself with her geeky friend. The series is set to premiere on Wednesday, June 29, at 8:30 p.m.

Raven-Symone starred in "The Cosby Show" between 1989 and 1992. "That's So Raven," a comedy series, ran between 2003 and 2007 and also starred Kyle Massey, who recently competed on the ABC ballroom dancing series "Dancing With the Stars."

She recently told OnTheRedCarpet.com that she is working on her fifth album (see video below).
