Randy Travis, 54, suffers stroke, undergoing brain surgery
Country star Randy Travis has suffered a stroke as a complication of his congestive heart failure and is undergoing surgery, his spokesperson says.
The news comes hours after the 54-year-old Grammy winner's doctors revealed his latter ailment while talking about his hospitalization earlier this week. They had said he was improving.
"As a complication of his congestive heart failure, Mr. Randy Travis has suffered a stroke and is currently undergoing surgery to relieve pressure on his brain," the singer's spokesperson said in a statement to OTRC.com on Wednesday, Jul 10. " He is in critical condition. We will have updates as they become available. His family and friends here with him at the hospital request your prayers and support."
