Country star Randy Travis has suffered a stroke as a complication of his congestive heart failure and is undergoing surgery, his spokesperson says.

The news comes hours after the 54-year-old Grammy winner's doctors revealed his latter ailment while talking about his hospitalization earlier this week. They had said he was improving.
