The upcoming series, "Ravenswood," is set to star Tyler Blackburn, who also stars on "Pretty Little Liars." The actor, 26, Tweeted his excitement about the news.
"I am so stoked to head to #Ravenswood @RavenswoodABCF - I promise you won't be disappointed!" Blackburn Tweeted on April 30.
Blackburn's character, Caleb Rivers, will travel to Ravenswood during the annual "Pretty Little Liars" special Halloween episode. The "Ravenswood" series will premiere immediately after. Blackburn will still be seen in the upcoming summer season of "Pretty Little Liars."
The cable channel initially announced the news about the series in a statement to OTRC.com on Tuesday, March 26, 2013. The new show will center on a town, not far from Rosewood, PA (the home base of "Pretty Little Liars"), which has suffered under a deadly curse for generations.
In the new series, five strangers will find themselves connected by the fatal curse. They will then dig into the town's mysterious and terrible history before it's too late for each of them.
"Pretty Little Liars," which debuted in 2010, was recently renewed for a fifth season. The show focuses on the lives of four teenage girls who drifted apart after their friend died mysteriously and then reunited after they each started receiving cryptic text messages that indicated she may have survived.
The upcoming season will feature the friends as they strive to make sense of the mysterious "Red Coat" and what plans he or she may have in store for them. The show stars actresses Lucy Hale, Troian Bellisario, Ashley Benson, Shay Mitchell as well as Holly Marie Combs and Chad Lowe.
"Ravenswood" is set to premiere in October 2013. "Pretty Little Liars" returns on Tuesday, June 11 on ABC Family.
