Pitbull to host 2013 American Music Awards (Photo)
Pitbull will bring some Miami heat to the 2013 American Music Awards.
It was announced on Tuesday, Nov. 5 that the 32-year-old rapper will host the award show and will also perform his new single, "Timber," with Ke$ha.
This marks the first time the award ceremony has had a host since 2008. The 2013 American Music Awards is set to air live from the Nokia Theatre L.A. Live on Sunday, Nov. 24 at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
"I am truly honored to be hosting the 2013 American Music Awards," Pitbull, whose real name is Armando Christian Perez, said in a statement. "The night is only about one thing, fun! So buckle and get ready. Dale!"
Other musical acts performing on the show include Luke Bryan, Miley Cyrus, Florida Georgia Line, Lady Gaga, Imagine Dragons, Kendrick Lamar, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, and One Direction.
