Not true. Of course not. But even if it werent not true, you wouldnt be interested in joining me, would you?
Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides began production in June and will be released on May 20, 2011 and in 3D. Johnny Depp is reprising his role as Captain Jack Sparrow and Geoffrey Rush returns as Captain Hector Barbossa.
However, Orlando Bloom and Keira Knightley, who played pirate Will Turner and his love Elizabeth Swann in the previous three movies, have not signed on for the fourth installment.
Oscar-winner Penelope Cruz will play Sparrow's love interest and the daughter of the pirate Blackbeard, portrayed by Ian McShane of Deadwood fame. Sparrow refers to her in the teaser as, "The vivacious and vicious Penelope Cruz."
The movie also stars Kevin R. McNally as Sparrow's comrade Joshamee Gibbs and Sam Claflin as a "stalwart missionary".
"In this action-packed tale of truth, betrayal, youth and demise, Captain Jack Sparrow crosses paths with a woman from his past, and hes not sure if its loveor if shes a ruthless con artist whos using him to find the fabled Fountain of Youth," Walt Disney Pictures said in its statement.
"When she forces him aboard the Queen Annes Revenge, the ship of the formidable pirate Blackbeard, Jack finds himself on an unexpected adventure in which he doesnt know who to fear more - Blackbeard or the woman from his past," it said.
Disney had said in April that French actress Astrid Berges-Frisbey will play a mermaid in the Jerry Bruckheimer Films and Walt Disney Pictures production. Depp has said he's willing to star in seven Pirates movies. The first three films in the series have grossed more than $2.7 billion worldwide.
