Piers Morgan, a British television show host who is replacing Larry King, says Madonna is still banned from appearing on his new CNN program, "Piers Morgan Tonight" when it debuts on January 17 and that he bears a grudge over allegedly missing a scoop about one of her pregnancies when he was a tabloid newspaper editor.

Morgan, who is 45 and a judge on NBC reality series "America's Got Talent", told the UK newspaper The Daily Express last month that Madonna, one of the most successful singers in the world, was "so boring" and "too vegan for TV."

A source close to Morgan confirmed his remarks to OnTheRedCarpet.com. A spokesperson for the 52-year-old singer dismissed his comments and said: "As far as her being banned from Piers' new show, we can only hope and pray Madonna can survive such a terrible blow to her career."

Morgan told the "Access Hollywood" television show that he and Madonna have "never really seen eye-to-eye."

"There was a bread roll throwing incident in London in the mid '90s," he said. "There was an incident at a hotel in the south of France [at] the Cannes Film Festival involving a photographer and a bodyguard; there's been an incident involving a pub owned by her recently departed husband, Guy Ritchie, where my brother was the manager."

Ritchie, who is alive, and Madonna divorced in 2008 after eight years of marriage. They have a 10-year-old son, Rocco, and she adopted two children from Malawi - David and daughter Mercy. Madonna also has a 14-year-old daughter, Lourdes, from a previous relationship.

"You know the worst thing Madonna did to me?" Morgan said. "Madonna's publicist once said to me, 'Listen to me, Madonna is not pregnant,' when I was running a newspaper. And I said, 'Are you sure?' She said, 'Listen to me, Piers. Madonna is not pregnant. The next day, they announced [the news] on a rival newspaper's website."

The singer's spokesperson had no immediate comment on Morgan's recent remarks.

"The only way she can come back is to literally get on bended knee in somewhere like Times Square on national television and beg me for forgiveness," The CNN host added.

Madonna had the highest grossing tour of 2009, has sold more than 200 million albums worldwide and recently launched a chain of fitness centers set to open in cities around the world.

It was announced in September that Morgan would replace King. The 77-year-old host's last show aired in mid-December.
