Peter Fonda discovers dead body in a car in Los Angeles

"Easy Rider" actor Peter Fonda discovered a dead body in a car in Los Angeles on Wednesday, according to The Associated Press.

Los Angeles Police say the actor called 911 after he saw a car parked on the side of Sunset Boulevard. Fonda got out of his car and found the man slumped over in the front seat, according to the wire service.

Sgt. Carlton Cook at the West Los Angeles Community Police Station says the 70 year-old actor is not a suspect but did not reveal any more details. The incident was first reported by TMZ.

The actor comes from the Fonda acting family with his father the late actor Henry Fonda and sister Jane Fonda. He is also the father to actress Bridget Fonda. His film credits include "Race With the Devil" and "3:10 to Yuma."
