Penelope Cruz and Javier Bardem are expecting their second child, OTRC.com has confirmed.
Reports that the 38-year-old Oscar-winning actress is pregnant surfaced earlier this month. On Tuesday, the Spanish TV station TVE reported that Cruz was unable to attend the Goya Awards on February 17 because she was expecting. Her spokesperson confirmed to OTRC.com on Wednesday, February 13, that the actress is indeed pregnant.

Astrid Berges-Frisbey, a Spanish-French actress, has found herself in the middle of one of Hollywood's biggest movies, playing a mermaid in "Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides" and she shared a few things viewers have to look forward to.
"The movie starts again like from the beginning," Berges-Frisbey told OnTheRedCarpet.com at the film's Disneyland premiere. "It's a new story. You find again, Jack Sparrow, Barbossa, Gibbs and some characters but there are so many new ones, interesting ones. The mermaids are scary. Angelica's [Penelope Cruz] character is just great. They had this marvelous idea to create a feminine [version] of Jack."

Johnny Depp, who plays Jack Sparrow, once said that the musician helped inspire his character. Richards, who was named the "10th greatest guitarist of all time" by Rolling Stone magazine, debuted as Captain Teague in the previous third film, "Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End," in 2007.
The fourth installment of the "Pirates of the Caribbean" franchise, "On Stranger Tides," is proving that Jack Sparrow still has fight left for the box office crown.
The sequel, which also stars Penelope Cruz, earned an estimated $90 million domestically to take first place for the weekend, according to the Associated Press. The film also took a record international haul of $256.3 million. The international sum boosts its worldwide total to $346.4 million, the fourth largest global opening.
Johnny Depp is back to reprise his role as Captain Jack Sparrow and in the fourth installment of the "Pirates of the Caribbean" franchise and seems overjoyed to continue playing the flamboyant pirate.
"The idea of doing a fourth one after 'Pirates 3,' somewhere in the back of your head you go, 'I sure hope so.' You always sort of expect that somebody down the road would say 'So, I have this idea for a scenario' and that's exactly what happened," Depp said in an interview provided by Disney Studios. "I was very happy."
"Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides" opened softer than expected with $35 million at the Friday box office, but pulled in $92.1 million in first three days overseas.
Disney was hoping to gross $90 million domestically, but lowered its weekend estimate to between $87 and $89 million, according to the Hollywood Reporter. The film reportedly cost Disney Studios over $250 million to produce.
Penelope Cruz has worked with a slew of major actors, but her newest co-star Johnny Depp still managed to impress her on the set of "Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides."
"The work ethic that he has, he brings it to the movie set and that affects the whole movie, that affects the whole crew," Cruz said in an interview provided by Disney Studios. "He creates this beautiful group, family of people, working in the same direction and everybody wants to make him happy."
