Penelope Cruz and Javier Bardem welcome a baby girl, report says
Prince William and Kate Middleton may not have been the only celebrity couple to welcome a new bundle of joy yesterday.
Penelope Cruz and Javier Bardem reportedly welcomed their second child, a baby girl, on Monday, July 22, according to E! News. The baby was reportedly born in Madrid. No other details were reported and a spokesperson for Bardem had no immediate comment on the report.
Cruz's pregnancy was confirmed in February. The actress and Bardem are already parents to a 2-year-old son named Leonardo.
Cruz, 39, and Bardem, 44, met while filming the Spanish movie "Jamon, Jamon" in 1992. They began dating more than five years ago and also starred together in Woody Allen's 2008 movie "Vicky Cristina Barcelona," which earned the actress an Oscar. The couple wed in 2010.
Bardem is also on Oscar winner and nabbed the award in 2008 for Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role for "No Country for Old Men."
Cruz recently appeared in the film "I'm So Excited" and has an upcoming role in the film "The Counselor" with Brad Pitt, Michael Fassbender and Cameron Diaz. Bardem has a role in the film as well and the movie is set to hit theaters on October 25.
