Paula Abdul talks her upcoming 'Dancing With The Stars' performance, new music (Video)
Paula Abdul is set to perform on the November 20 episode of "Dancing With The Stars: All-Stars," and the singer and dancer shared that her upcoming performance is a like a "dream sequence."
Abdul, 50, recently appeared on the dancing series on October 15 as a guest judge, bringing her unique energy to the judging panel for "opponent's choice" week. The performer is now set to grace the ballroom on November 20 with a performance of her own, which she describes as crazy and fun.
"I am telling you it's a medley of four of my number one hits, and it's a dream sequence - so anything's possible," Abdul told OTRC.com's George Pennacchio after the November 19 show. "It's never been seen before on television, the way I'm making it all interactive, and 3D - and crazy stuff is going on - but it's a lot of fun."
The singer rose to fame in the late 1980s with hit singles such as "Opposites Attract" and "Forever Your Girl." In more recent years, Abdul has stayed in the music world, appearing as a guest judge on the singing series "American Idol" as well as serving a hosting stint on Simon Cowell's project "The X Factor" in 2011.
Abdul explained why she would return to the "Dancing With The Stars" panel, and why she appreciates the talent on the ABC series so much.
"I am going to take this moment, and hope for the best," Abdul explained. "I think that this is a show that I would come back a bazillion times over because they're so much fun, and they're great people...The talent, especially on this show, is limitless - it's just like, every week, I've been able to watch some rehearsals that they're doing and it blows my mind how wonderful, and how much growth there is with this show - it's fantastic."
The November 19 episode features the five remaining couples paying tribute to the late Michael Jackson and the 25th anniversary of his epic album, "Bad." The show also features the couples performing bizarre fusion pieces such as the "Caveman Hustle" and the "Surfer Flamenco," as well as displaying some perfect scores, nearly serious injuries and even some speedo's (Read the full recap).
