Paris Hilton walks out of ABC News interview
Paris Hilton walked out of an interview with ABC news anchor Dan Harris, which aired on Wednesday on "Good Morning America," after he asked her if she ever worried that her "moment" is over.
The hotel heiress seemed calm when Harris asked if she felt overshadowed by the new wave of socialites like Kim Kardashian, or if she was worried about the low ratings of her new Oxygen reality show, "The World According To Paris." But when he asked, "Do you ever worry about your moment having passed?" Hilton stood up and walked out of the interview.
Hilton has not commented about the matter. She reportedly talked to her publicist on the sideline before eventually returning to the interview with a rebuttal for the "Good Morning America" weekend co-anchor, who interviewed her at her newly-renovated Los Angeles home.
"I've been in this business for 15 years now, so it's been a very long time," Hilton told Harris. "Just like any other business person or someone in the industry, it's always important to reinvent yourself and come up with new projects."
Hilton's 'stalker' James Rainford was recently charged with two felony accounts of stalking and three misdemeanor counts of disobeying a court order. He is being held on $150,000 bail and if convicted, he faces up to five years in state prison after showing up at Hilton's home several times and attacking Hilton's then-boyfriend Cy Waits outside a courthouse in April. Rainford told witnesses at the time that he has "already proposed" to Hilton and that "her dad already said 'Yes.'"
"It's very unsettling because you don't know what frame of mind someone is in like that, who now four times has tried to get in contact with me," Hilton told Harris. "He keeps getting in trouble for it, yet he keeps coming back, so obviously there's something wrong with him."
Hilton recently broke up with her boyfriend Cy Waits and has been spending time with "Hangover" director Todd Phillips, according to People magazine, but she wouldn't confirm the relationship to "Good Morning America."
Hilton has appeared on several reality TV series including five seasons of "The Simple Life," "Paris Hilton's My New FF" and "The World According to Paris." She has also produced two studio albums and had cameos in several films.
The finale of "The World According to Paris" airs on Oxygen on Wednesday night at 10 p.m. ET and will feature Hilton's Moulin Rouge-themed 30th birthday party.
