Paris Hilton burglar, Nathan Lee Parada, sentenced to 2 years in prison

Nathan Lee Parada, who was convicted of trying to break into Paris Hilton's Los Angeles home with knives, was sentenced to two years in state prison on Wednesday, June 29, OnTheRedCarpet.com has learned.

Hilton and then-boyfriend Cy Waits testified against Parada, 32, at his trial in April, during which he was found guilty of one felony count of attempted first-degree residential burglary with a person present.

Parada was arrested after security men spotted him wielding two knives outside the heiress' house in the Hollywood Hills on August 24, 2010. He has been in jail since his arrest and his time served behind bars will be deducted from his prison sentence, according to the court clerk.

At the April trial, Waits was confronted by a man as he and Hilton walked into the courthouse (see video). Hilton's bodyguards tackled the man, James Rainford, who the heiress dubbed her "stalker." He was later sentenced to 227 days in jail for the attack. He was released on May 20 after serving 24 days behind bars.

In January, Rainford pleaded no contest to civil assault after he was arrested in October 2010 for sneaking past a security gate at Hilton's home on a bicycle, knocking on her front door and trying to fight off her security guards.
