Oprah Winfrey returns to the big screen this weekend in a lead role in "Lee Daniels' The Butler." So, is her role the start of a new era of acting for Winfrey or just a side project?

George Pennacchio of KABC Television, OTRC.com's parent company, recently spoke to Winfrey at the premiere of the film and asked the television personality and OWN CEO if she is looking to take on more roles.

"Well, I got other things to do," Winfrey said. "I got a network to do so, if something else shows up that is as stimulating, as moving, that, you know, allows me to try to open the heart space for people the way I think this movie does, I would say 'yes' to that."

If director Lee Daniels gets his way however, Winfrey could be making another return to the big screen sooner than she might have expected.

"She's gonna be working for a long time if I get my hands on her again," he said.

In "Lee Daniels' The Butler," Winfrey portrays the wife of Cecil Gaines, an African American man who works his way from a laborer on a cotton farm to the position of butler at the White House.

The film, which stars Forest Whitaker as Gaines, is based on the real-life story of Eugene Allen, who served as butler for eight American presidents until his retirement in 1986.

The film also stars Robin Williams as Dwight D. Eisenhower, Melissa Leo as Mamie Eisenhower, James Marsden as John F. Kennedy, Minka Kelly as Jackie Kennedy, John Cusack as Richard Nixon, Alan Rickman as Ronald Reagan and Jane Fonda as Nancy Reagan.

Daniels also called the set of the film "a love fest" between himself, Winfrey and Whitaker.

"I think that I learned so much from Forrest about humility and through Oprah about humility, you know that it trickled down. It really was a love fest," Daniels said. "We really fell in love with each other on the set and we didn't have any money and we refused to go to Oprah for money, you know, because then she would have been my boss and that wasn't happening!"

"We became creative in ways in telling the story that was -- it was like putting on a play. It was like putting on a play," he added. "You know, it was like a circus."
