Olivia Wilde calls Tron: Legacy a game-changer in film-making
The 1982 cult classic Tron has hacked its way into American history. Literally. An now, the new film Tron: Legacy is sending fans back to Flynns Arcade for another round of gaming.
On The Red Carpet correspondent Bruce Reynolds caught up with the star of the new film Olivia Wilde who plays Quorra at the recent BAFTA Britannia Awards. She told us the film takes technology to the next level.
"It's an amazing movie. It's so revolutionary in so many ways. I mean just the camera we used, is a 3D camera, the next generation from the one used in Avatar.
The suits are sculptures made of rubber that have wires running through them so they light up from within. They're amazing, she said.
She also spoke on how the technology of the film is superb, The face-replacement technology used on Jeff's character was the same as Benjamin Button, she said. But it was taken to a whole nother level. The cast is extraordinary, and I just can't say enough. I love it. I'm so proud to be a part of this movie. It's a real game-changer for filmmaking.
Tron: Legacy races into theatres December 17th.
