"To me, we've already won," Spencer told George Pennacchio of KABC Television, OnTheRedCarpet.com's parent company on Tuesday. "We've been doing this for 15, 16 years and our nominations came today. Spencer also spoke candidly about her friendship with McCarthy. "First of all, I think she's one of the funniest people on the planet and we basically have had very similar roads," she said. "We worked really hard to get here so it isn't anything that I thought was long overdue," she added. "I think it's happening at the right time, not only for myself but for Melissa [McCarthy], for Jessica Chastain, for all of us."
