Nicole Richie finishes probation early
Nicole Richie is officially off the hook from her 2006 drunk driving case. The former reality star turned fashion designer completed her probation from the charge a few months early, according to the Associated Press.
A representative for Richie confirms to the wire service that on Wednesday, a judge ended Richie's probation. Her probation was supposed to last until February 2011, but after receiving proof that the 29-year-old completed the terms of her probation, including an 18-month long alcohol education program, her probation was ended that day.
The news tops off a solid year for Richie, who has bounced back from her legal woes from the past. Earlier this month she wed her longtime boyfriend and father of her two children, Joel Madden, in a ceremony at Lionel Richie's Beverly Hills mansion.
Richie, 29, and Madden, 31, began dating in 2006. In addition to their daughter Harlow, the two have a 16-month-old son named Sparrow.
Since her days on "The Simple Life", Richie has kept busy adding accessories like sunglasses to her House of Harlow 1960 fashion line for the upcoming spring and fall collections for 2011.
