Nia Long of 'Big Momma's House' is expecting her second child
Nia Long of "Big Momma's House" is expecting her second child in the fall with professional basketball player Ime Udoka.
"This is the most exciting time in our lives," Long and Udoka told People magazine in a statement. "Words can't explain how thrilled we are by the new addition to our family. We feel truly blessed and appreciate all the well wishes and prayers."
The actress also confirmed the pregnancy on Twitter, writing, "Hi babies. Yes the word is out. I'm gonna be a new mommy again. Life is sweet!"
Long, 40, has starred in films like "Friday," "Boiler Room" and "Are We There Yet." She has also appeared on "The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air," "Judging Amy," "Third Watch" and "Chase."
This will be the first child for Udoka, 33, and the second for Long, who had son Massai, 10, from her previous relationship with actor Massai Z. Dorsey. Long and Dorsey were engaged to be married, but have since ended their relationship.
Udoka has played basketball with the San Antonio Spurs, the Portland Trail Blazers and the Sacramento Kings. He was most recently waived by the Spurs in January 2011 and has yet to sign with a new team.
