Neil Diamond marries manager Katie McNeil, reports says
Neil Diamond is once again a married man.
The 71-year-old "Sweet Caroline" singer married his manager Katie McNeil, 42, on April 21 in front of friends and family in Los Angeles, according to People magazine.
It is the third marriage for Diamond and the first for McNeil. Diamond announced his engagement on Twitter in September.
"Good news coming from sunny LA/ and you're the first I want to tell/ Katie & I just got engaged/ and I hope you wish us well," he said.
"I'd like you to meet Katie," he said, alongside a photo of his new fiance. "I'm lovestruck. I took this photo in London last month."
Diamond and his first wife, Jayne Posner, have two daughters, Marjorie and Elyn. The singer and Posner divorced in 1969. That year, he wed his second wife, Marcia Murphey. The two had two sons, Jesse and Micah, and divorced in 1995. Diamond is also a grandfather.
Last year, Diamond was a recipient of a Kennedy Center Honor alongside Meryl Streep, Broadway singer Barbara Cook, cellist Yo-Yo Ma and saxophonist Sonny Rollins for their contributions to American culture through the arts.
Diamond, who is set to kick off a summer tour in the U.S. on June 1, was also inducted into the the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame along with shock rocker Alice Cooper, Tom Waits, Darlene Love, Dr. John and pianist Leon Russell in March 2011.
