01/18/2011 by Kristina Lopez

Model Miranda Kerr took to her blog on the KORA Organics website to confirm reports about the recent birth of her son with actor Orlando Bloom.

"On the 6th of January I gave birth to our beautiful little son Flynn. We cherish him," Kerr wrote. The 27-year-old Victoria Secret model also confirmed the weight of the newborn, which some outlets speculated weighed in at 10 pounds.

"He weighed 9lb 12 ounces (a very healthy and big baby boy). I gave birth to him naturally; without drugs or painkillers and it was a long, arduous and difficult labor, but Orlando was with me the whole time supporting and guiding me through it. I could not have done it without him," she said.

Kerr also posted a photo of herself breastfeeding the newborn, however, the site has been down as of 5:30 p.m. PT.

Bloom, who starred in three "Pirates of the Caribbean" and "Lord of the Rings" movies and Kerr dated for at least three years before secretly getting married this July. Kerr announced her pregnancy shortly after the wedding.

"Here's the SWEETEST GUY EVER, Orlando Bloom! And he's having a baby in jan! How amazing!!!" Bloom's co-star in the 2011 movie "The Three Musketeers," Milla Jovovitch, Tweeted in August.

Bloom, a British actor, is also reportedly set to reprise his "Lord of the Rings" role of Legolas in the movie "The Hobbit," a prequel, although his spokesperson has not confirmed the report, carried by the UK newspaper The Sun, which said the star is set to earn at least $1 million for a cameo. Actors Elijah Wood, Iam McKellan, Cate Blanchett and Andy Serkis are all returning to star in the new film.
