Miranda Kerr injured in car crash, sports neck brace
Victoria's Secret model Miranda Kerr was involved in a car crash in Los Angeles on Tuesday, March 12.
The 29-year-old model's spokesperson confirmed the news to the Australian newspaper The Telegraph and said that Kerr was hospitalized and underwent scans.
She suffered whiplash and damage to her back as a result of the accident and was seen later the evening wearing a neck brace. Kerr was in a car with her assistant when another vehicle hit them.
Kerr's husband, actor Orlando Bloom, and her 2-year-old son Flynn were not in the car at the time of the accident.
"Luckily Flynn wasn't in the car," Kerr's spokesperson told the newspaper, who also said that Bloom was at her bedside at the time. "He's taking very good care of her. He's an amazing husband."
The driver of the car that hit Kerr's vehicle has been arrested and is reportedly expected to be charged by the Los Angeles Police Department.
The model welcomed her son Flynn with Bloom in January 2011. The couple, who began dating in late 2007, wed in 2010.
