Mira Sorvino welcomes fourth child, a daughter
Mira Sorvino and her husband Christopher Backus welcomed their fourth child on May 3, 2012, a daughter named Lucia, the couple's rep confirmed to OnTheRedCarpet.com.
"We are thrilled beyond measure to have been blessed with our fourth precious, healthy child," the couple told People magazine.
The 44-year-old actress and Backus, 30, previously welcomed two sons - Holden, 2, and Johnny, 5, and one daughter, Mattea, 7.
Sorvino and Backus met at a mutual friend's charades party in August 2003 and married in a civil ceremony in Santa Barbara, California on June 11, 2004. They also had a hilltop ceremony in Capri, Italy.
"He walked into the kitchen looking for silverware. We saw each other and something made us want to talk to each other more," Sorvino told People magazine at the time.
Sorvino is known for her roles in "Romy and Michele's High School Reunion," "Mimic," "Norma Jean & Marilyn" and "Mighty Aphrodite," which earned her an Academy Award and Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actress in 1995.
Backus has appeared on "Will & Grace," "The O.C.," "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia" and "The Mentalist."
