Minka Kelly, Christie Brinkley and more stars model for Heart Truth's Red Dress Collection event - Poll
Minka Kelly, Christie Brinkley, Sugarland's Jennifer Nettles and Chaka Kahn were among the stars chosen to walk the runway for The Heart Truth's Red Dress Collection fashion show for New York Fashion Week on February 8.
The annual event aims to raise awareness about heart disease as the No. 1 killer of women and puts celebrities in red gowns by some of the country's most famous designers. The campaign is headed by the National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute.
Former "Friday Night Lights" and "Charlie's Angels" star Minka Kelly wore a sequin-covered wrap dress by Diane von Furstenberg, which can be seen above on the far left.
Christie Brinkley smiled in her Pamella Roland gown after a little stumble while walking the runway at the event. Binkley has been a supporter of the campaign in the past but hesitated this year because her mother is suffering from serious heart disease and told the Associated Press she felt like she should be spending quality time with her parents.
Jennifer Nettles of the country band Sugarland donned a V-neck David Meister gown with a high slit.
"I was afraid of falling," she told the wire service about walking the runway. "It's my first time modeling - at New York Fashion Week! Why not start big?"
Meanwhile, music legend Chaka Khan modeled Chris March at the event.
