Country music star Mindy McCready has died in an apparent suicide, the Cleburne County Sheriff's Office confirms. She was 37. According to the sheriff's office, deputies were dispatched Sunday afternoon to a report of shots fired in the 1100 block of Fox Chase Drive in Heber Springs, Arkansas. Deputies say they discovered McCready's body on the front porch of the residence. She was pronounced dead at the scene from what appeared to be a single self-inflicted gunshot wound. McCready recently lost her boyfriend, 34-year-old singer-songwriter David Wilson, who was found dead at the home on January 13. The singer's downward spiral, which included drug abuse, suicide attempts and domestic violence, landed her on "Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew." (Check out a timeline of Mndy McCready's troubles.) Meantime, the country music world is reacting to the news of McCready's death. Leann Rimes tweeted "My heart goes out to Mindy McCready's family. I knew her well. It's a horrible tragedy. May peace be with her sons." Carrie Underwood also tweeted "I grew up listening to Mindy McCready...so sad for her family tonight. Many prayers are going out to them..." McCready leaves behind two children, 6-year-old Zander and 9-month-old Zayne.
