Miley Cyrus made her debut on the CBS sitcom "Two and a Half Men" on Thursday, playing a sexy, Southern girl and family friend of Ashton Kutcher's character.
The episode earned a 4.0 rating among adults between ages 18 and 49 and was watched by about 13.6 million people, marking a 14 percent increase from last week's rating of 3.5 and 11.35 million people. Thursday's show's ratings were the highest since season 10, the second round of episodes starring Kutcher as billionaire hottie Walden Schmidt, premiered on September 27.
Cyrus, sporting her new platinum blonde half-buzzed haircut, played Missi, a 20-something Southern girl who visits Schmidt, her father's friend. During the episode, she wore several scandly clad outfits, such as a bikini and a nightie, and spurs some sexual tension during exchanges with Kutcher's character.
Missi, short of Mississippi, actually has the hots for Jake, played by 18-year-old Angus T. Jones, who lives with Kutcher's character and his dad, portrayed by Jon Cryer.
Cyrus' appearance on the show marked her first television acting role since her Disney Channel show "Hannah Montana" ended in 2011. She is set to reprise her role on "Two and a Half Men" on an additional episode.
The 19-year-old began her acting career when she was eight and rose to fame with her title role on "Hannah Montana," which ended in 2011 after four seasons. She returned to television earlier this year by guest starring as herself on the MTV prank series "Punk'd," a revival of a show created by Kutcher.
In 2010, Cyrus starred in her first major film, "The Last Song," with boyfriend Liam Hemsworth. The two announced their engagement in June.
The actress later filmed the 2012 independent movie "LOL" with Kutcher's estranged wife, Demi Moore, and in the comedy film "So Undercover," which features Kelly Osbourne, Autumn Reeser and Jeremy Piven and is expected to be released later this year.
