Miley Cyrus to go 'Unplugged' for MTV
Miley Cyrus is getting ready to go "Unplugged."
MTV announced that Cyrus will be featured in the latest artist in their long running "Unplugged" special, set to air on the cable network on Jan. 29.
Cyrus tweeted about the special to her more than 16 million Twitter followers on Jan. 20, sharing a photo of her wearing Austin Powers-style teeth and star pasties. The photo can be viewed here (Warning: NSFW).
Cyrus said in the photo's caption, "@MTV PRESENTS MILEY CYRUS: UNPLUGGED YALL check it out January 29th!"
Some of the most legendary artists have been featured on MTV's "Unplugged" over the years, including Mariah Carey, Nirvana and Bob Dylan. Cyrus previously starred in her own MTV special, titled "Miley: The Movement," in October 2013. The documentary special showcased the making of her current studio album, "Bangerz," and covered her much talked-about performance at the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards.
"Bangerz" reached No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 upon its Oct. 8 release, spawning the singles "We Can't Stop," "Wrecking Ball" and "Adore You." The album contains a variety of sound, ranging from pop to hip-hop as well as several mid-tempo ballads. Read a full track-by-track review of "Bangerz" here.
