Miley Cyrus releases risque 'We Can't Stop' video
Miley Cyrus has been trying to break out of the squeaky-clean child star mold for the last few years and the risque music video for her latest single "We Can't Stop" might just do the trick.
The video was released on Wednesday, June 19, and shows the singer and actress at a house party, complete with a pool. The video can be seen here (Warning: Video contains explicit images). The 20-year-old is seen in the clip wearing few revealing outfits, wearing a grill, twerking and dancing with a giant teddy bear on her back. Cyrus also gets close with a few friends in the pool.
"We Can't Stop" was released on June 3 and debuted at the No. 11 spot on the Billboard Hot 100 chart last week. The song was produced by Mike Will Made It, the man behind songs like Rihanna's "Pour It Up" and Ciara's "Body Party."
The song is off Cyrus' fourth studio album, which does not have a release date. Cyrus' last album was 2009's "Can't Be Tamed." She recently told Billboard she wished she could start her music career over again with a clean slate.
"Right now, when people go to iTunes and listen to my old music, it's so irritating to me because I can't just erase that stuff and start over," she told the magazine. "My last record, I feel so disconnected from-I was 16 or 17 when I made it. When you're in your 20s, you just don't really know that person anymore."
Cyrus also talked about the song's adult lyrics, including the references to certain drugs.
"I'm 20 years old and I want to talk to the people that are up all night with their friends," she told Billboard. "It's based on a true story of a crazy night I had: When I heard the song for the first time, it captured exactly what I was living."
