Miley Cyrus appears naked in 'Wrecking Ball' music video (Poll)
If you thought Miley Cyrus' performance at the 2013 MTV VMAs was too racy, you may be shocked by her new music video for the Synthpop ballad "Wrecking Ball."
In the clip, which was posted on Monday, Sept. 9 and filmed by fashion photographer Terry Richardson, the 20-year-old alum of the Disney Channel show "Hannah Montana" straddles a wrecking ball, sometimes while appearing naked and other times wearing a see-through white tank top and white bikini bottoms. Other scenes show her licking a hammer and crying while looking at the camera.
The video was posted two weeks after Cyrus drew controversy over a raunchy performance at the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards, during which she twerked suggestively against duet partner Robin Thicke and made obscene gestures with a pointing foam hand.
Cyrus later said critics were "over-thinking" the issue and that she and the singer aimed to make "history." The music video for the song she sang, "We Can't Stop," was also deemed by many critics as too risque, compared to her past material, which has not been as sexual.
Both "We Can't Stop" and "Wrecking Ball" are featured on Cyrus' upcoming new fourth studio album, "Bangerz," which is set for release on Oct. 4.
