Mila Kunis was once blind in one eye
Mila Kunis, who plays Natalie Portman's rival in the ballet thriller "Black Swan," says she used to be blind in one eye.
Kunis told Cosmopolitan magazine in an interview for its February 2011 issue that she suffered from chronic iritis, an inflammation of the iris.
"I was blind in one eye for many years, and nobody knew," she said. "I'm not blind anymore. I had surgery a couple of months ago. They cut it open and dropped a new lens in there."
In the interview, she also declined to discuss her recent reported split from longtime boyfriend Macaulay Culkin, a former child star best known for his role in the "Home Alone" movies.
Kunis, who also played Jackie on the comedy series "That '70s Show," and Portman both earned Golden Globe nominations for their role in "Black Swan," seen as a possible Oscar contender.
The 2011 Golden Globe Awards ceremony is set to take place on Sunday (check out a list of nominees).
