Entertainment News: mickey rourke
Mickey Rourke, star of films such as "The Wrestler" and "Iron Man 2," is leaving his mark on Hollywood.
On Monday, October 31, the 59-year-old actor became the 254th celebrity to have his handprints and footprints immortalized in cement near the Grauman's Chinese Theatre, joining the likes of Betty Grable, Elizabeth Taylor, Tom Cruise and Jennifer Aniston, who received the honor in July.
Mickey Rourke has been tasked with playing several villainous characters in his recent films, but the Hollywood veteran said he likes to make the bad guy multi-dimensional.
"I look to show the other sides of a character, you know, the nice side or having a pet or something - not just angry and killing all the time, Show the different layers really," Rourke told OnTheRedCarpet.com host Chris Balish on Monday, November 7, at the Los Angeles premiere of "Immortals." "[Director] Tarsem [Singh] let me do it a little bit."
