Michael Madsen of 'Kill Bill' fame arrested for alleged child cruelty
Michael Madsen, 54, was arrested at 2:15 p.m. in Malibu, California on March 9, due to allegations of physical abuse.
Patrol deputies were called to a Malibu residence by a report of a family disturbance.Madsen apparently appeared under the influence of alcohol, according to the department, and allegedly got into a physical altercation with his teenage son.
Madsen was arrested and booked at the Lost Hills Sheriff's Station and was held on $100,000 bail, until his release on Saturday morning. The department said medical attention was not necessary for Madsen's son.
Madsen's attorney Perry Wander told TMZ that Madsen "found his son smoking pot and they got in an argument when he tried to take it away. It's a family matter and Michael asks that his families privacy be respected."
Madsen is best known for his roles in Quentin Tarantino movies like "Reservoir Dogs" and "Kill Bill." He also appeared in "Donnie Brasco" and "Free Willy." According to his IMDB page, the actor has appeared in 146 films and currently has another 16 in production.
Madsen, who is the brother of actress Virginia Madsen, has been married three times and has five sons from two of his marriages. His first marriage, to Cher's half sister Georganne LaPiere produced two sons. He has been married to Deanna Morgan since 1996, they have three sons together.
