Michael Lohan arrested on domestic violence charges
Lindsay Lohan's father, Michael Lohan, was arrested in West Hollywood Monday night for allegedly holding his girlfriend against her will and preventing her from calling 911, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.
Michael Lohan was arrested after officials said they received a call about a domestic dispute. A deputy spotted Lohan walking in the 8800 block of Santa Monica Boulevard around 9 p.m. PT. He was booked at the West Hollywood Sheriff's Station, but was taken to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center after complaining of a medical condition unrelated to the incident, according to authorities.
Lohan was booked on charges of preventing the report of victimization, false imprisonment and inflicting corporal injury on a cohabitant, deputies said. His bail was set at $200,000.
The victim, whose name was not released, suffered minor injuries and refused medical treatment from paramedics.
Meantime, his daughter Lindsay Lohan is at the center of a felony jewelry theft case. She is accused of stealing a $2,500 necklace from Kamofie & Co., a store located in the Venice area of Los Angeles on Jan. 22, three weeks after she was released from court-ordered rehab. She has already pleaded not guilty to a charge of felony grand theft.
The actress recently rejected a judge's plea deal in the case, which would have sent her back to jail for the fourth time. Her preliminary hearing was set for April 22.
