Michael Jordan, wife Yvette Prieto welcome twin daughters
Michael Jordan and his wife Yvette Prieto are now the proud parents of identical twin daughters.
Prieto, 35, gave birth to daughters Victoria and Ysabel on Sunday, Feb. 9 in West Palm Beach, Florida, Jordan's spokesperson confirmed to The Associated Press on Feb. 11.
"Yvette Jordan and the babies are doing well and the family is overjoyed at their arrival," the spokesperson said in a statement to the news outlet.
The former basketball star has three children from his previous marriage to Juanita Vanoy, which ended in divorce in 2006. Jordan and Vanoy have two sons, Jeffrey Michael and Marcus James, and a daughter, Jasmine.
Jordan, 50, and Prieto, a former model, wed in April 2013. According to reports, 500 people attended the ceremony and another 1,500 guests attended the reception at the Bears Club in Jupiter, Florida. The two became engaged in December 2011 after dating for three years.
Jordan played for the Chicago Bulls between 1984 and 1998 and joined the Washington Wizards from 2001 to 2003. He is also owner of the NBA team the Charlotte Bobcats.
