Can Katy Perry match the King of Pop?
The singer is close to reaching five No. 1 singles off her album "Teenage Dream" now that her latest single, "Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.)," is creeping up the charts. The song currently sits at fourth place on the singles chart, but if it reaches No. 1, Katy Perry will accomplish a feat that has not been achieved since Michael Jackson released the "Bad" album in 1987, according to MTV.
Jackson had five chart-topping singles off that album including "Bad," "Man in the Mirror," "Dirty Diana," "I Just Can't Stop Loving You" and "The Way You Make Me Feel."
Perry's four previous hits are: "California Gurls," "Teenage Dream," "Firework" and "E.T." Perry premiered the video for "Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.)" earlier this month. The singer plays a character named Kathy Beth Terry who attends a party with "Friday" viral video star Rebecca Black. Black, known for the viral "Friday" YouTube music video, which has received over 160 million views since debuting 3 months ago.
Other cameos in the video include "Glee" stars Darren Criss and Kevin McHale, musicians Kenny G and the Hanson brothers, as well as 80s stars Debbie Gibson and Corey Feldman.
