11/10/2010 by Corinne Heller

Meryl Streep appears in Lisa Kudrow's new online improv comedy series "Web Therapy" as a sexual orientation therapist.

Streep's character, named Camilla Bowner, specializes in "restoring men to their natural straight state".

She tells Kudrow's character, another therapist named Fiona Wallice who treats people via webcam, that her husband Kip is showing resistance to the female form and uses unorthodox techniques such as her personalized "Healing Touch" treatment to get him "back on track," according to Deadline.com.

The first episode was posted online on Monday on LStudio.com.

Kudrow had asked Streep, an Oscar winner, to film her guest part on the online show after she told the Friends actress that she thought the series was funny, the website reported, quoting Kudrow as saying: "It was heaven in every way, shape and form. She came in with the character, she is no nimble so smart, really funny and hilarious improvising."
