Melissa McCarthy hosts 'Saturday Night Live,' falls in heels during monologue (Videos)

Melissa McCarthy brought the funny as host -- for the second time -- on the April 6 episode of "Saturday Night Live."

The show's opening monologue showcased the 42-year-old starlet wobbling her way on stage in some very high heels. After grasping a chair to help keep her balance, and admitting that she hadn't practiced walking in the platfor shoes, the "Identity Thief" starlet came tumbling down as a part of the funny opening sketch.

She was then joined on stage by cast member Taran Killam who performed a song and dance about the actress' "second time" hosting, which McCarthy joined in while on her knees struggling to get up (Watch video below).

The actress went on to spoof Rutgers basketball coach Mike Rice, who recently faced heavy scrutiny and firing after videos of him abusing his players surfaced. The actress played coach Sheila Kelly in the skit, who fired T-shirt guns at her players, threatened them with bricks and a baseball bat and even forced them to serve her meals -- asking, "Where is the bread!?"

Next, McCarthy took part in a skit that spoofed famed music competition, "The Voice." The comedy actress took on a hillbilly persona, singing a rendition of a song that was ... less than spectacular. Cast member Jason Sudeikis portrayed judge Adam Levine, who enjoyed the singer's performance, while Jay Pharoah nailed his impression of judge Usher, who asked, "What's your dream, baby?"

The episode featured musical guest Phoenix performing their new single, "Entertainment." Peter Dinklage, known for his role in "Game of Thrones," also made a surprise appearance during Weekend Update.
