Mel B. from the Spice Girls is pregnant with third child
Melanie Brown, aka Mel. B, or "Scary Spice," from the pop group the Spice Girls, is pregnant with her third baby, which will be her first with husband Stephen Belafonte.
Brown, 35, has two daughters - Phoenix, 12, whose father is the singer's ex-husband Jimmy Gulzar, and Angel, 3, whose father is her ex-boyfriend, actor Eddie Murphy.
Yes I am pregnant," Brown said on her Twitter page. "Thankyou to everyone for all your lovely messages,glad I'm way past the 3 mnts of not feeling so good,bring it on!! Yipee"
The singer told Hello! magazine that she is due to give birth this summer.
"We're really thrilled," Brown and Belefonte told the magazine in a statement. "We wouldn't have planned and waited for four years to have a baby if we weren't excited and ready for it. We're really happily married, and we're both very much in love."
Belafonte, 35, also has a 6-year-old daughter named Giselle from a previous relationship. He and Brown married in Las Vegas in 2007.
Spice Girls members Emma Bunton, aka "Baby Spice," and Victoria Beckham, aka "Posh Spice," are also pregnant. Bunton announced in November 2010 that she and Jade Jones are expecting their second child. She announced in January that she and Jones, parents to son Beau, had became engaged.
Victoria Beckham and husband David Beckham announced in January that the singer was pregnant with their fourth child. He confirmed earlier this month that it was a girl. The two are parents to three sons - Brookly, Romeo and Cruz.
