Megan Fox talks about motherhood: My job is to be with my son
Megan Fox is candid about motherhood, her son and her husband, actor Brian Austin Green, in a new interview.
Fox, 26, appears on the cover of the March 2013 issue of Marie Claire U.K. and admits to the magazine that she is having trouble balancing her professional career and her personal life with her family.
"It's very hard for me to do this stuff [interviews], because I feel like this isn't my job any more. My job is to be with him [her son]," she said. "All I wanted to do my whole, whole life was have a baby and, now, I've finally done it. I just want to give Noah as much of myself as I can."
"I've never been validated by work or fame of Hollywood or any of that," the actress added.
Fox married Brian Austin Green in June 2010 in Hawaii and the actress gave birth to her son Noah in September. The baby is the first child for Fox and the second child for Green, who has a 10-year-old son Kassius with his ex, "General Hospital" star Vanessa Marcil.
"I believe he's my soul mate," she said of Green. "But that doesn't mean it doesn't take work, because we are very, very different."
Fox is known for her role in the first two "Transformers" films and recently had a role in the Judd Apatow film "This Is 40." She said motherhood has changed her perspective in a lot of ways.
"I can't watch the news any more. Everything makes me cry," she said. "Because everyone is someone's child, every woman seems like someone's mother. I have so much more patience for people and women in general."
