Matt Damon and wife Luciana to renew vows in St. Lucia
Matt Damon and his wife, Luciana Barroso, are reportedly set to renew their marriage vows at a party in St. Lucia this weekend, The Associated Press reported on Saturday, April 13.
A former top government official told the wire service about the ceremony, which is being held at the Sugar Beach resort. The invitation list reportedly includes A-listers like George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie and Ben Affleck.
Damon and his wife married in 2005. They have four daughters together, including a daughter from Barroso's previous relationship. The two met in Miami in 2003.
In 2011, Damon told OTRC.com in an interview for "The Adjustment Bureau," "When I look back at my life, and look at some of the most incredible things that have happened in my life, like meeting my wife, and I think of all the things that had to happen for us to meet and eight years and four kids later, I can't imagine life without her."
Damon recently appeared in the film "Promise Land," and will appear opposite Michael Douglas in the upcoming HBO film "Behind the Candelabra." The film is based on the life of Liberace (played by Douglas) and Damon plays his long-term partner Scott Thorsorn. Thorson also served as the entertainer's bodyguard, chauffeur and confidant.
"Behind the Candelabra" premieres on HBO on May 26.
