Martin Short's wife Nancy Dolman died of natural causes, report says
Martin Shorts wife, Nancy Dolman, died of natural causes, People magazine quoted a Los Angeles coroner official as saying on Tuesday, about three days after she passed away at age 58.
The official said Dolman was "under the care of a private physician for a natural disease," the magazine said, adding that a 2007 tabloid report had said she had been battling cancer but that Short's spokesperson declined to comment on the cause of death.
It was announced on Monday that Dolman had passed away. The Los Angeles Fire Department had responded to a 911 call at the couple's Pacific Palisades home on Saturday morning. Short and Dolman had three children during the course of their 30-year marriage - Katherine, 26; Oliver, 24; and Henry, 21.
Dolman was a comedic actress and a native of Canada, like Short. She had a recurring role in 1981 on the television series Soap but retired from acting to raise the couple's children. Short has starred in The Three Amigos, Clifford and the Father of the Bride films and is nominated for an Emmy this year for his role in Damages.
