Martin Lawrence marries Shamicka Gibbs at Beverly Hills home
Martin Lawrence married girlfriend Shamicka Gibbs on Saturday in the backyard of his house in Beverly Hills in front of 120 family and friends, including their daughters and fellow actors Eddie Murphy and Denzel Washington, People magazine says.
Lyana, 9, and Ameria, 7 and Jasmine, 14, who is Lawrence's daughter from a previous marriage, were flower girls, the magazine said.
Guests enjoyed a a four-course dinner of salad, crab cakes and salmon - Lawrence's favorite dish, and a four-tiered wedding cake, it added.
Lawrence stars in the comedy film Death at a Funeral with Chris Rock and Zoe Zaldana, who recently got engaged to her boyfriend Keith Britton, the 2001 movie Black Knight and the Bad Boys action film series, including the third installment, which is under development. Lawrence also performs stand-up comedy.
Lawrence, 45, has been linked to Gibbs, 35, for more than a decade. He and former wife Patricia Southall divorced in 1996 after a 20-month marriage.
Country singer and former American Idol winner Carrie Underwood and NHL player Mike Fisher got married on Saturday as well, as did actress Emily Blunt and actor John Krasinski of the NBC comedy series The Office.
