Mark-Paul Gosselaar marries fiancee Catriona McGinn
Mark-Paul Gosselaar had a big reason to celebrate over the weekend, the actor confirmed on Twitter.
"Thanks for all the well wishes!" Gosselaar Tweeted on July 29. "I'm going to take a break now, travel for our honeymoon, and enjoy my beautiful wife... and new life!"
The former "Saved By The Bell" star married his fiancee Catriona McGinn in a ceremony on Saturday, July 28, according to People magazine. The wedding took place at the Sunstone winery in Santa Ynez, California.
It is the second marriage for the 38-year-old actor, who currently stars on the TNT series "Franklin & Bash." Gosselaar was previously married to Lisa Ann Russell for almost 14 years.
The couple split in June 2010 when Gosselaar filed for divorce. The actor and Russell have two children together, an 8-year-old son named Michael and a 6-year-old daughter named Ava. Their divorce was finalized in May 2011.
His engagement to the advertising executive was announced in August 2011. Gosselaar said in a previous interview that he was very involved in the wedding plans. The couple will reportedly head to Italy for their honeymoon.
Gosselaar played smart-aleck teen Zack Morris on the comedy series "Saved By The Bell" between 1989 and 1993.
He went on to star in "Saved by the Bell: The College Years," "Hyperion Bay," and "D.C." He also starred in the 1997 television film "Dying To Belong" with Oscar-winning actress Hilary Swank and had recurring roles on shows such as "NYPD Blue," "Commander in Chief," and "Raising the Bar."
Gosselaar returned to television full time as attorney Peter Bash on the TNT legal series "Franklin & Bash." The series also stars Breckin Meyer of "Clueless" and "Road Trip" fame.
