Marilyn Manson and Evan Rachel Wood call off engagement
On-again, off-again couple Marilyn Manson and actress Evan Rachel Wood, who plays a vampire queen on HBO's True Blood, have split and have called off their engagement, People magazine reports.
Manson, 41, and Wood, 22, dated between 2006 and 2008, after which she reportedly pursued a relationship with actor Shane West. Manson and Wood reconciled around late 2009. In January, he proposed to her during a stage performance in Paris. The two ended their engagement last week, the magazine said.
Manson, who's real name is Brian Hugh Warner, is known for his gothic-looking makeup and hard rock hits such as "The Beautiful People" and "The Dope Show". His stage name is a combination of actress Marilyn Monroe and murderer Charles Manson and he was married to burlesque dancer and model Dita Von Teese between 2005 and 2007.
Aside from her recurring role on True Blood, Wood has starred in films such as The Wrestler and Thirteen.
