Mariah Carey says she's 'superstitious'; fuels pregnancy rumors
Mariah Carey is struggling to keep the pregnancy rumors from getting out of hand because she's allegedly "superstitious."
People reports that Carey wrote a message on her official website that read: "I appreciate everyone's well wishes. But I am very superstitious. When the time is right, everyone will know even [my publicist] Cindi Berger." The note was taken down Wednesday.
Careys message echoes statements that her husband, Nick Cannon, has been making to the press ever since the star's pregnancy rumors began to swirl. Speculation they would start a family began soon after they married in 2008 but has increased in recent weeks.
Cannon said on Monday during his radio show on New York's 92.3 FM, I've said it before and I'll say it time and time again when my wife feels like talking about whatever she wants to talk about, you will hear it directly from her."
He added, "There's a certain time limit you're supposed to wait before you can actually officially say that you are and all that stuff. You don't want to mislead anybody."
Earlier this week, Mariah Carey sparked pregnancy rumors once again when she wore loose-fitting outfits while performing in Brazil at a cowboy festival called the Festa do Pećo de Boiadeiro de Barretos.
