Mariah Carey pregnant with twins, Nick Cannon says
Mariah Carey is expecting twins, the pregnant singer's husband Nick Cannon said his radio show on Thursday, adding that she recently told U.S. President Barack Obama and his wife Michelle the happy news.
Carey, 40, announced in October she was pregnant and was set to give birth in the spring of 2011. She also said she had suffered a miscarriage two years ago.
"She shared with the President and the First Lady that we are having twins," the Reuters news wite quoted Cannon, a 30-year-old rapper and host of "America's Got Talent", as saying on his "Rollin' with Nick Cannon" program on the CBS Radio-owned 92.3 NOW station, referencing the recent "Christmas in Washington" concert, during which his wife performed before Barack Obama and his wife Michelle.
"I haven't even told my wife I was doing this, so I am probably going to get yelled at for not getting permission," Cannon said.
He did not reveal the genders of the babies, which will be the first children for Carey and Cannon, who married in 2008.
Carey recently addressed rumors that say she is bisexual in a candid interview with The Advocate to talk about her new holiday album "Merry Christmas II You".
When asked about the rumors, Carey said: "If it makes somebody happy to say that, then whatever, but that's not the reality," the singer says. "I don't have a discriminatory policy of who I'm friends with, so yes, I'm friends with women who are gay -- gay, straight, it doesn't matter to me. So I don't get upset when I hear that, because it is what it is. I guess I could lie about it to seem more exciting."
